Donations and use of SMC's platform for advertising other related community events
SMC's operations completely depend on the efforts of dedicated volunteers. Hence this initiative is not intended as a fund-raising opportunity but only to recoup, to a very limited extent, the extra efforts involved in distributing promotional material.
To partially defray the additional costs and effort required of us in this regard, Sydney Music Circle requires a donation before the advertisement or e-mail message is sent out.
Donation for sending broadcast e-mail: $100 per broadcast
Donation for web-site announcement: $75.00 for a banner advertisement placed in SMC's website for a week.
Donation for placing flyer's/posters on premises: $75.00 for placing program flyer's during SMC programs or making a maximum of two announcements of two minutes duration each (at the start and end of the program)
SMC’s audio equipment can be hired for community events. The hire charges (which must be paid before commencement of the hire) are intended to offset the operating expenses and routine wear and tear of the equipment and are not meant as an opportunity for fund raising. The equipment consists of
- One fall-back speaker
- Six unidirectional microphones with stands
- One mixer
- One “Bose” (base) speaker
- One Bose vertical speaker
- Cables, connections, joints, etc.
The detailed conditions of hire will be made available on request. Each request is considered individually on merits, hence SMC’s acceptance or otherwise is not automatic. The current charge for hiring the equipment collectively is $350 for a program duration of 4 hours. (The combined set-up and dismantling time of approximately three hours, before and after the program is outside the 4-hour window, and is not charged separately.) In view of the sensitive nature of the electronic equipment, it is a standing condition of hire that SMC’s equipment is operated only by SMC’s Permanent Member/Operating Team members and/or others whose assistance is specifically solicited in this regard by the Permanent Member or the Operating Team.
