SMC Thyagaraja Aradhana 2023

Sydney Music Circle is privileged to invite your gracious participation at our flagship programme, Thyagaraja Aradhana, 2023.
 
When: Saturday 25 February 2023, 9.00 am onwards (commencing with students and junior artistes, possibly transitioning to senior artistes);  and

Sunday 26 February 2023 8.30 am onwards (commencing with Pooja and then Pancharatnam rendition followed by senior renditions)
 
The performance sequence will transition from juniors to seniors during the two days, depending on the number of registrations in each category.
 
Where: Redgum Centre, Wentworthville
 
Points to note-
 

  • Please arrive at the venue an hour before your scheduled slot.
  • Register your students and yourself at the reception desk immediately on arrival so that we know you are available to perform. The $20 donation per participant can be handed over at the time of registration at the reception desk.
  • Do not perform manodharma sequences (alapana, niraval, kalpana swarams, etc.).
  • Do not move your assigned mikes, as they would have been professionally calibrated and synchronised with the audio system after considerable testing
  • If you are seated in the audience, please remain silent during the programme as a mark of respect to the Saint, to the performers onstage, and to others in the audience.

Given the reach and complexity of organising an event such as this, we welcome volunteers to help any way they can. Registrations for supply of food will open separately, and you will receive an e-mail in this regard shortly.  We also urge you to to donate generously so that SMC’s service to the community continues as before.
