Please note that due to current uncertainty with COVID-19, Sydney Music Circle may require to cancel the live broadcast without notice. Current NSW Government’s social distancing policies allow Sydney Music Circle to conduct this programme in a remote setting and be able to broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube channels. However, social distancing policies could be tightened again by NSW Government. If this occurs, in the interest of artistes safety and well-being the live broadcast will be cancelled.


Artiste Profiles:

Sri. Gayathri Karthik


Gayathri Karthik is a disciple of Bharathi Muralidharan , a Vocalist and Violinist from Singapore. She got her initial training from Bharathi Mahadevan (Madurai) who built a strong foundation in Music. Then she had the opportunity to learn from Madurai T.N.Seshagopalan.She also learned from P.B.Shri.Rangachari Sir (Disciple of T.N.S Sir).

Gayathri continued her advance training from  Smt Vasanthi Krishna Rao(Delhi), an Eminent musician who is the daughter of Late Shri Kumaraswamy, former professor in the Government college of Music, Trivandrum. 

She has participated in various music competitions in schools and colleges.

Besides her interest in music, she is an IT Professional and holds Master Degree in Computer Application.

Recently moved to Sydney and performed in YSM last year. She has performed in various temples in Sydney.She is much excited about her musical journey in Sydney.

Sri. Kranthi Kiran Mudigonda


Kranthi Kiran Mudigonda had his initial training in music with Sri P.S.S.R Jagannatham and Sri N. C. Ramanujam. He had advanced training under eminent vidwan Sri Dwaram Satyanarayana Rao at Hyderabad. He is currently under advanced tutelage in vocal from Hyderabad Brothers and violin from Parur Sri M A Sundareswaran. He has a vast experience in accompanying local and visiting artistes for various concerts across Australia. He also developed interest in percussion and has undergone training in mridangam and kanjira from Sri Kaliprasad Babu, Melakaveri Sri K Balaji and Sri Nerkunam Sankar. He continues to learn mridangam from Maestro Sri Patri Satish Kumar. He founded Geervani Academy of Performing Arts and teaches Vocal, Violin and Mridangam in Sydney.

Sri. Raman Easwaran


Initiated and trained early into carnatic music by his mother Smt Vasanta Easwaran, he pursued vocal music training from her teacher Smt Muthulakshmy Vedanarayanan in Mumbai. He simultaneously got the certificate training courses in Mridangam from Fine Arts society, Mumbai under the guidance of Shri K V Maniappan. Further interest in the art of playing mridangam led him to receive advanced training from Shri K Narayanaswamy which subsequently culminated in receiving training on advanced techniques in mridangam under the guidance of Shri Mannargudi Easwaran during his visits to New Zealand. He continues to further his interest in vocal music by receiving training from Mrs Yamini Ramesh in Chennai (Disciple of Padma Bhushan Shri Lalgudi Jayaraman). 

 

He has been very fortunate to accompany legendary artists over the last few years, some of which include 'Sangeetha Kalanidhi' Shri A K C Natarajan (Clarinet), 'Sangeetha Kala Acharya' Shri T Venkataraman (Veena) & Kalaimamani Prof Smt S Rajeshwari (Vocal) during their musical visits to New Zealand.
